Seed Crackers and Garden Herbs

Store-bought seed crackers can be so expensive. But these delicious bits of bread-replacement are so easy to make at home!


  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

  • 3 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/8 cup flaxseed

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon of mixed herbs from the garden (or kitchen). I used rosemary, oregano and wild garlic

  • 1 tsp paprika or chili


  • Heat your oven to 170 C.

  • Mix all of your ingredients and add the water.

  • Wait for 15 minutes.

  • Flatten the mixture over greased baking paper on a baking tray.

  • The mixture sure be spread evenly and thinly but without any gaps.

  • Bake for 1 hour until crisp.

  • Allow the crackers to cool and then break into suitably-sized pieces.

  • Store in an airtight container.
